Prayer focusing on new Estonian church-plant
Artur Põld pastors the UMC in Jõhvi, a church with more than 100 people active today. In the begining of 1990, some 200 people took part in the ministry. One of their plans back then was to work towards a new church-building, but instead God gave the vision to start new churches.
In Azeri, Kunda, Kohtla-Jarve and Sillamae churches were started. In Sillamae a second church and soup kitchen have also been set up. At the moment, a new prayer-project has been initiated in Maetaguse with prayer for the village. Every Wednesday people come together for prayer, led by a local brother.
Food and clothes are also distributed. In Maetaguse there are no churches at all. In the beginning of November 2010, the first 10 people from Maetaguse will be brought to a Sunday service in Jõhvi methodist church. Pastor Artur believes that a church will be started in Maetaguse soon and he also hopes to have an open soup kitchen there, since many people are unemployed.
