With the desire to touch lives

In September 2007 it was as if God simply decided to place His hand on the United Methodist church in Kokkola, Finland. The church was dying, having one active member plus 2-3 friends left, all over 80 years. When I came there, prayer was the only strategy. We began to ask God to send people, to change their lives, to let them understand their need of salvation. We asked Him to heal physically, mentally and spiritually.

We asked Him for wisdom to know how to disciple those that came. The vision was, and still is: Changed lives.

Today people from 15-20 different nations worship with us. Around 50 people worship with us every Sunday. Some of them are new converts.

Some have been physically healed. Some are still struggling. Around 15 people go through our school of leaders, with the vision to start new faith communities here and elsewhere.

We praise God for what He has done. Prayer is still our main focus, because we believe that it is the real presence of Jesus that makes all the difference.
