Presentation Maria Thaarup – Host

Meet Maria Thaarup who will be our host during the SOCD 2019.

Since 2013 a dedicated teacher, Maria decided back in 2016 to follow her calling and become a UMC pastor and started her studies to become a Bachelor in Christianity, Culture and Communication along with her work as a teacher.

At the Denmark Annual Conference in 2018, she was consecrated local pastor serving part time in Solrød south of Copenhagen where, among other activities, she is leading Messy Church. She also serves as a youth pastor in the Denmark AC where her focus is scout and youth camps.

Her most recent ministry is at the Jerusalem church in Copenhagen where she is developing ministry among families and children and supporting the youth work.
